What? Sick Again?

What? I'm sick again?

Yep, Quin is sick again. That poor kid has had bad luck. He's got the same thing that's been going around here in Colorado. I got it, then Quin and Elizabeth got it real bad.

Call me a terrible father, but sometimes him not feeling well is kind of nice. You see, Quin becomes a little snugglebug when he doesn't feel good, and all he wants to do is sit and snuggle.

Which is nice, because if he wasn't sick, he'd be bouncing off the walls, the padded-bouncy-house walls. He would be pulling spoons out of the kitchen cupboards and inspecting dishes in the dishwasher. He would be pushing buttons on the oven and he would be handing us every stinky Coniferous Seedbug he could find around the house. He would be throwing toys over the baby gate and down the stairs leading to the basement. He would be going into the bathroom and flushing the toilet or turning on the bathtub faucet. He would be chasing our cat Kinkajou all over the house calling "joo joo!" He would be picking crumbs of food from the crevasses in his high chair and spreading them around the house. He would be pulling the fiberglass insulation out from between the logs. He would be climbing the only two steps he has access to and turning the lights on-off-on-off-on-off-on and finally OFF, then leaving it that way. Just like the lights, he would turn the DVD player and the TV on-off-on-off-on-off-on and finally OFF, then leaving it that way...in the middle of a movie.

Like I said, sometimes sick and snuggly is kind of nice.

Besides, why wouldn't I love snuggling with my boy? After all, he's my favorite little buddy in the whole world.

And if you're wondering about the photo, this was the look Quin made when he found the air pump for his bouncy house. He was curiously looking down the business end of the hose when he found the power switch. It's a high capacity little pump. Heavy laughter ensued for at least a half hour.
