We're Back!

For the past week, Quin and I have been in Dallas and Austin. It was a wonderfully busy trip, with lots of people to see and tons of things to do, but we are happy to be back home with Tim.

While in Dallas, we got to see my grandma, dad, and Lisa; I was also able to get some work done for our store. Quin was a handful at my dads, but loved playing in the backyard. My dad and Quin had fun playing catch (actually, they were kind of playing fetch). Quin loved my dads dog Annie. He chased her around his house and terrorized her. I am sure she was glad to see us go. We also got to see a friend of mine from high school, Leigh Ann. It was really nice to have dinner with her, and my dad was nice enough to babysit for the evening. Thankfully, Quin did great without me (which was a little bit of a surprise since Quin was a HUGE mamma's boy on this trip). He was a little scared of my grandma, but stopped crying long enough to take a few pictures. Grandma was very happy to see us and hopefully she will remember the visit.

Once we were in Austin, we stayed with my mom and visited lots of friends. We got to see Stacy a few times, Farrah, Shawn and Laura, James and Debbie (and their daughter Heather who was Quin's very first babysitter), and Mike, Alison, and Sagan. We were busy! There were plenty of other people that we really wanted to see, but just didn't have enough hours in the day. Maybe on our next trip! I managed to find a little time to squeeze some fun in for Quin. We played in the pool at my mom's apartment, visited the giant granite cows in the Arboretum, ran around outside, and he got to play at drop-in child care (which he actually enjoyed!). I would guess that the best part for him was playing with Sagan. They are a month and a half apart and got along really well, even though Quin was a bit of a brute (which you can see in the following video)!
