For The Nagging Grandparents... :)

We have gotten a few comments about how long it has been since the last post, so here you go:

Quin is such a great helper.  Everything we do is followed by an adamant statement from Quin about wishing to help.  Whenever I unload the dishwasher, Quin comes running into the kitchen yelling "I help you", "I help you, please!".  Who can resist such requests!!  I know I can't.  By dinner, he is ready to help again.  He pulls up a stool and stands next to us at the counter, asking to mix and measure.  This desire to help started back when we still lived up at The Poudre Plantation.  Quin got to help me unload the dishwasher and cook on an almost daily basis.  He also used to help GG and Papa cook, which I know he misses.  

His favorite item to cook is cookies.  I have to say, he makes darn good cookies.  Our latest cooking adventure was cupcakes.  We didn't make your standard boring cupcakes, not at our house! We made chocolate cupcakes with chocolate chip cheesecake centers.  Yum! Quin, however, realized part way through making them that the batter was REALLY good, and proceeded to eat at least two cupcakes worth.  By the end, he was covered in chocolate and not hungry for dinner.  Well, I learned a lesson out of the experience: Don't make cupcakes right before dinner!
