5 Months Old!

Isla is 5 months old already! I can't believe that our little girl (our LAST baby) is growing up so fast. She loves her toes, drools non-stop, laughs (almost) constantly, smiles from ear to ear when she catches a glimpse of her family, and loves to play. Changes are happening daily, turning her from a tiny newborn to an individual. Each day, we see more and more of her own personality; we are pretty sure that she is going to be just as silly as her big brother!

Quin and Isla Playing

Quin just loves entertaining Isla. Here he is keeping her happy while I warmed up a bottle.

Swinging

Quin loves his swing set. I am so happy that we got it for his last birthday. Now that the weather is getting nicer, we spend hours out in the back running around. It is especially nice now that he is older and I trust him (somewhat) to play outside without us.

Of course, he hasn't figured out how to swing himself, except by laying over the swing. Whatever works! Regardless, he has fun.

Old News

I know that Halloween was almost 6 months ago, but I found some pictures and realized that I never posted them. Better late than never!

Snowshoeing

Quin got snowshoes from Nana for Christmas, and he just loves them!

Here are a couple of videos of him enjoying them. Too bad spring is here, we want to do more snowshoeing!

Isla The Happiest Baby on the Block

Isla is definitely a happy baby. Reminds me of another baby we once knew...

This video is just a little example of how Isla is most of the day. You know, when she's not screaming bloody murder.

Easter Activities

Quin had a lot of fun hunting at Easter this year.

Here are a few videos of him doing his thing. Click on to the web site if you're using email to read this.

Quin The Track Star

We all know Quin loves to run, with his endless energy.

So what better place to take him than a running track? We let him go wild after an Easter egg hunt.

Waking Up On The Right Side Of The Crib

Continuing to catch up on videos, here's one of Isla waking up. She always wakes up like this. Happy as a clam.

As always, if you're reading in email, click through to go to the web site to view the video.

Dying Eggs

Here's a video of Quin dying Easter eggs this year. He was nice enough to "read" us the label.

Grandparent Candy

You'll only find this interesting if you're a grandparent and you find it entertaining to watch a baby play. This is just a quick little video I took of Isla playing in her exersaucer today. She love to sit and play with the toys.

Isla Loves Her Toes!

A few weeks ago, Isla found her toes. Ever since, she has been obsessed! Every moment she has to play with them, she takes full advantage of. Lately, she has also been facinated with her own hands, our hands, and out faces. Now that she has found her toes, she can entertain herself on her mat for longer stretches of time (not that we can stand staying away for long)!

Dying Eggs

On Saturday, we decided to dye Easter eggs. During the day, we hard boiled five eggs and promised Quin that we would dye them as soon as we finished dinner. Quin was ecstatic! While Tim and I were preparing the colors, Quin couldn't keep his hands off the carton of eggs (even though both Tim and I repeatedly asked him not to touch the eggs). The result was four broken eggs and a crying boy. I was glad that I was able to catch one egg, but wish they could have all been saved! I will post a video of Quin dying his one, lonely egg soon!

Unfortunately Isla did not get to take part in the dying of Easter eggs. Maybe next year. I am going to be sure to buy a better egg dying kit next year as well, perhaps one with glitter. Even though Quin only had one egg to dye, he still had a great time. Here are a few more pictures:

Happy Easter From Isla
